Prenatal Yoga

Open to any expecting mother in their 12th to 40th week of pregnancy, this class will teach poses that will safely build strength and stability in the areas of your body most affected by pregnancy. You will also learn breath awareness techniques that will calm you throughout pregnancy and meditation that will allow you to deeply connect with your growing baby. The class is held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm at our Verdae location from September through May. Cost is $8/class, register using the link above.

Breastfeeding Basics

This free class is a great avenue for expecting parents to have all their questions answered about breastfeeding. Taught by one of our Certified Lactation Consultants, this course is open to couples and we encourage partner participation as they can be one of the keys to success for new moms adjusting to breastfeeding. This class is held the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Breastfeeding Center of Greenville’s Community Room. Call Parkside to register your spot.

Baby Basics

As a new mom, you’ll have many questions when it comes to your newborn. Join other new moms along with our very own Certified Lactation Consultants for Baby Basics. Specifically designed for moms with babies under 12 weeks, this class will put your mind at ease. Here you can receive answers to questions about your baby. Plus you can meet other new moms to share in the adventure that is raising a new baby. The class meets Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Breastfeeding Center of Greenville. Light snacks will be provided and there is no registration required.

Beyond the Basics

Designed for mothers of babies ages 3 to 6 months, Beyond the Basics is an extension of our Baby Basics class. Taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant, this course meets the first Thursday of each month from 11:00 to 12:00pm at the Breastfeeding Center of Greenville. No registration necessary.

Community Yoga

Yoga is the perfect stress reliever for parents because we all know that sometimes kids can be a handful. Taught by Meredith Dobson, a Yoga Alliance Certified (RYT 200) instructor and wife of Parkside Pediatrician, Dr. Scott Dobson, this Vinyasa Flow Class is open to beginner and intermediate students. Offered September through May, this class is held on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30am at our Verdae location. No need to register, simply come as you are.

Mommy & Me Yoga

Mommy & Me Yoga not only creates a unique environment for mother and child to bond, but it also allows mothers to gently care for their postnatal bodies. Come join us to relax your body and engage your little one in a new way. This weekly class is held on Wednesdays from 10:45 to 11:30am at our Verdae location from September through May. Cost is $8/class, register using the link above.

Little Bites

Calling all chefs in training! Join us for a monthly hands-on cooking class where children 2 to 5 years of age (and their parents) learn more about nutrition while making and tasting some user-friendly recipes. Class topics include “Food Allergies,” “Healthy Holiday Hints,” and “Snacking Wisely.” Our themes change monthly so use the link above to see what this month has to offer.

Agape Parenting

We all desire to grow closer to our children, but at times this can seem more like a wish than a reality. Our Behavioral Health team has designed this course (which is taught in a series) to provide parents with tools and resources to better connect with their children. Join us as we discuss what it means to love our children from an outpouring of God’s love in our own lives. This class is held at various times throughout the year at our Verdae location. Back to School Basics

Embarking on a new school year can be challenging at any age. Join our Behavioral Health team as they help your child feel better equipped for the upcoming school year and the challenges it may bring. This class is held in the first two weeks of August with options available for children in (or beginning) elementary school, middle school, and high school. Our Parkside Behavioral Health team includes a dedicated Medical Psychiatrist (MD) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who are here to serve your family in a variety of ways, right here at Parkside.
