Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why can’t everything be a virtual visit?

A: Pediatric care often requires tools and exams that we can’t do over video. Some concerns, like listening to the heart and lungs, checking ears, or running lab tests require an in‑person visit. If we can safely treat your child virtually, we would love to, but if an in-office visit is the best way to care for your child, we’ll always recommend that instead.

Q: How are virtual visits billed?

A: All virtual visits will be billed with your standard office co-pay. If an in-person evaluation is needed following your virtual visit, this may be billed as a higher-level service or multiple visits, depending on the care provided. Our goal is to make sure you get the right care, without surprises.

Q: Can we schedule a virtual visit when we are on vacation?

A: Yes! Virtual visits are always available to permanent residents of South Carolina.

Your family’s health is at the heart of everything we do. Virtual visits are just one more way we’re making sure your child gets the care they need from the providers who know them best. Schedule your virtual visit today and let us care for your family, wherever you are.
