Parkside Summer Safety Tips

Well Care Visits

The summer is a great time to prioritize preventative care. Call us to schedule an annual check up today!

Sun Protection

Apply, and re-apply, sunscreen (for children 6 months+). Utilize hats, sunglasses, and tight weave clothing whenever possible.

Water Safety Awareness

Be conscious of your surroundings and never leave your child unattended in the water. Life jackets should be used for young children, weak swimmers, and anyone participating in a water sport. This is a topic close to our hearts as Mission Parkside partners with BNK Water Safety Organization annually.

Hydration

Make sure your child is drinking plenty of fluids. The more water the better. This could even help with potty training if you have a toddler!

Practice Good Hygiene

Wash hands (important all the time but especially during the coronavirus pandemic) and keep your little one’s skin nice and dry.

***Parkside would also encourage your family to safely socialize this summer to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Wearing a cloth mask, practicing social distancing when possible, and weighing the risk and reward of every situation are good practices for everyone***

Until next time,
